How It Works
Illiminate uses a cistern-connected system designed to reduce odours at the source. Installation is completed by a qualified installer, then we provide scheduled service visits (refills, checks, tuning and upkeep) to keep results consistent.

Is there a minimum term / can we trial it first?
Our standard agreement is a 12-month term to allow installation and servicing to deliver consistent results over time. If you want to trial it first, ask us—we can discuss a pilot on a small area/site where suitable, then scale if it performs.
“We already have a provider”—why switch?
Most providers focus on masking odours (air care) or one-off supply. Illiminate is different because it’s cistern-connected and maintained on a schedule, designed to reduce odours at the source and keep results consistent between cleans. If you’re still getting complaints, inconsistent outcomes, or high staff effort, we’re worth comparing.
Is it a lease or do we own the devices?
It’s a hire/lease arrangement as part of the service. You don’t own the Devices—they remain Illiminate’s property. This keeps your upfront costs down and ensures Devices are maintained and supported under the service program.
Do you handle plumbing issues or leaks?
We don’t provide plumbing repairs or diagnose plumbing faults. Our Devices connect to the cistern for operation only.
If there’s a suspected leak or plumbing issue, the facility should isolate water where safe and arrange a licensed plumber. If a leak is reported within 24 hours of our install/service visit, we can attend once to check the Device connection (where reasonably practicable). If it’s a plumbing fault unrelated to our connection, standard call-out terms may apply.
How often do you service it, and what happens during a service visit?
Service frequency is set to suit the site (many commercial sites are serviced on a regular 4–6 week cycle, depending on usage). A service visit typically includes refills, inspection, minor tuning/adjustments, and confirming the Device is operating as intended—so performance stays consistent over time.
How many devices will I need?
It depends on your number of toilets, usage levels, and bathroom layout. As a starting point, many sites install Devices based on toilet count and traffic (staff-only vs public/high-traffic). Tell us your site type and number of toilets and we’ll recommend the right setup.
How does it work (cistern-connected) in plain English?
We connect a Device to the toilet cistern for operation only, then keep it performing through regular servicing. The goal is to reduce persistent odours between cleans, without adding ongoing workload for your team.
What exactly is the service—and what isn’t included?
Illiminate provides cistern-connected washroom odour control with scheduled servicing. We install Devices in agreed locations, commission the setup, and service them on a regular schedule (refills, checks, tuning and upkeep).
Not included: plumbing repairs or maintenance to toilets/cisterns/pipework, fixing leaks, replacing valves/seals, clearing blockages, or any building works.
